Wine of the Week - Laurent Martray Brouilly "Corentin"

Today's wine of the week is from our new Beaujolais producer - Laurent Martray! The 2014 Brouilly "Corentin" received 89 points from Wine Spectator.

Laurent Martray’s vineyards are located on Domaine de la Chaize – he is one of the vignerons for the estate, and also creates wine under his own name from the same vines. This is a famous area, on a huge estate in the south of Burgundy, with 99 hectares of vineyards. The vineyard for Laurent’s “Corentin” cuvée is located on the Combiaty hillside, facing east and the south-east. The soil consists of granitic rocks, sand and silt on the surface.
