Wine of the Week - Vignoble des 2 Lunes Pinot Noir

Today's wine of the week is Pinot Noir - from Alsace! The Vignobles des 2 Lunes "Périgée" is gorgeous example of this grape grown in a northern climate. Light bodied and dry, with subtle notes of raspberries, blackberries, and a hint of earth. Pairs with a variety of French dishes: roast chicken, salad niçoise, and cheese. Also nice with Middle Eastern cuisine such as lamb, hummus, or dolmeh.

Vignobles des 2 Lunes is a fourteen hectare Demeter-certified estate in the heart of the Alsatian wine country.  Owned and operated by the Buecher family for seven generations, sisters Amelie and Cecile Buecher have brought their own unique vision to the domaine; walking a fine line between a drive for modernization and respect for antiquity.
