Taking a Closer Look: Trentino and Cesconi Winery

Trentino, the southern half of the Trentino-Alto Adige grouping, has a unique set of geographical features that sets it apart from other regions nearby; while also making it an ideal grape growing region. With the Dolomite Mountains bordering the plains of Veneto and Verona, the extreme juxtaposition of the landscape is staggering and unlike any other area in Italy. The Cesconi Family vineyard is perched high above Trento on banks of the Adige River on the hill of Pressano. In these rugged Alpine surroundings the Mediterranean climate help produce beautiful red and white wines, apples, and Italy's northern-most lemon and olive trees.
