Recipe Thursday: Tarts and Rose, All Day, Everyday

A staple in French homes, tarts are the ultimate multi-purpose dish. They can be served for breakfast/brunch, lunch or dinner, and anytime in between. Cut them up into small pieces – and voilà! – you have an elegant appetizer. Plus, tarts are a great way to make use of produce at the height of the season. Try tomatoes and herbs, or caramelized onions and anchovies. Check out Epicurious for some other great tart recipe ideas.

Just as tarts are a welcome addition to any meal, anytime of day, so is rosé! One rosé that goes especially well with tarts is the Paul Thomas Sancerre rosé, made up of 100 percent Pinot Noir. With notes of light red fruit and a crisp minerality, this refined and delicate rosé would pair wonderfully with a tart made up of wild mushrooms, goat cheese and herbs.
