2017 Burgundy

After several troubled vintages in a row, Burgundy winemakers were seeking a stress-free year, and 2017 delivered. Despite a smattering of late frost (mostly in the north), the vintage was mainly smooth sailing, providing even quality and good quantity. Neal Martin, writing for Vinous, has published his impressions of the vintage, among which are Domaine de la Pousse d'Or and Domaine Jean Fournier. Both properties received a string of outstanding reviews and 2017 looks to be a vintage to watch for.
