There are so many things to love about winter – hot cocoa,
cozy fires, fuzzy socks. When it comes to food and wine in the winter, one of the
ultimate pleasures of a chilly evening is tucking into a warm, hearty meal with
a superb glass of red wine. One such pairings to warm the body and soul is BBC
Food’s Lamb,
Red Wine and Rosemary Casserole paired with a delicious bottle of Domaine Martin Clerc Côte-Rôtie.

Martin Clerc’s Côte-Rôtie is a natural fit for the unctuous lamb,
as Syrah’s gamey, savory profile brings out the warming spices in the lamb. There
is also a balance of weight – the medium-bodied Syrah will not overpower the
delicate flavors and aromatics of the lamb.
