Recipe Thursday: Labor Day Pairing

Labor Day has become synonymous with the end of summer -- a last hurrah of the season sipping cold drinks and grilling with friends and family. It’s also the peak season for tomatoes and a wonderful opportunity to make use of the vine-ripened fruits adorning farmers market stands. We love Ina Garten’s recipe for Tomato and Goat Cheese Tarts, which can be served as a side dish alongside anything grilled, or cut into bite size pieces for appetizers.

In the spirit of celebrating the best summer has to offer, we can’t forget about rosé. These tomato and goat cheese tarts are heavenly with a bottle of Médeville Bordeaux Rosé. The sweetness of the tomatoes complement the rich fruit flavors in the wine, while the creamy goat cheese offsets the wine’s acidity in the glass.
