Recipe Thursday: Savoring Summer

Is anyone else having a hard time believing we’re already halfway through August? Pretty soon, we’ll be busting out the pumpkins, fall recipes and heartier reds. In the meantime, we’re savoring the warm days of summer by filling up our glasses with rosé and spending quality-time by the grill. For those busy weeks when time is flying by, but you still want a home-cooked meal, a Grilled Pork Chop with Roasted Rhubarb (Williams Sonoma) is the way to go. The sauce can be made in advance, so all that’s left is throwing the pork chops on the grill.

And, of course, don’t forget to pour yourself a glass of rosé, such as Diwald’s Zweigelt Rosé, a dry pink wine with bright strawberry and raspberry notes to perfectly match the similar notes on the rhubarb. This rosé cuts right through the fattiness of the pork, as well.
